Oh! My God!! Harajuku Girl / Interview: Kyary & Her Mom (Part 4)
―― Do you and your husband ever fight?
Mom: We love debating things. Politics, you name it and we’ll debate over it. There’ve been times where we’ve gotten so worked up that we’ve raised our voices at each other yelling, “Who cares about Suga!?” (laughs), even counting that, we talk a lot.
I am selling 1 General Admission ticket to Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s show this Saturday at the Best Buy Theater in New York. Unfortunately I am unable to attend this show, but luckily I saw her last year, so I’m not too bummed!
I have the ticket listed for $57 on Stubhub, instant download! It’s so cheap because I want to sell it in time for the show and hopefully let a fan have a great time! :)
Japanese pop icon Kyary Pamyu Pamyu performed at House of Blue in Chicago on March 5th. Her first Chicago show drew a large crowd despite the freezing weather with temperatures dropping below -20℃ and snow lying 6 feet deep.
Like her earlier shows in Seattle, San Francisco and LA, KPP’s first east coast show sold out immediately. The three-story venue was packed with energetic fans, and some of them were in their homemade costumes, which resembled KPP and her dancers. Everyone in the venue was eagerly waiting for the show to start. About 20 minutes to the concert, the crowd started chanting KPP’s name.
With the song “Nanda Collection”, the 21-year-old pop star appeared on stage wearing a soft toy-inspired costume. The first song of the show “Invader Invader” quickly boosted the energy level in the venue.
KPP enjoyed some casual chat with the audience between songs, saying “Hello Everybody!! How are you feeling? Are you enjoying the show?” KPP invited laughter from the audience with her sense of humor. “This is my first time in Chicago! It’s really cold in Chicago!”.
“I walked around the city all day today, and I’m still freezing. I’m going to try to keep myself warm by singing! Are you ready?” KPP pumped up the crowd, and sang one of her hit singles “Ninjari Bang Bang”, and the latest song “Yume no Hajima Ring Ring”.
The artist showered the crowd with a few more popular tunes such as “Fashion Monster” and “PONPONPON” before successfully finishing her first Chicago show.
Catch KPP in the remaining leg of her North America tour: - Toronto, Canada on March 7th - NY in the United States on March 8th.
-If you can try to go there 2 hours or so before the show starts, because some people will be there 3+ hours before it starts. If you go there
-If you have a VIP ticket you may get moved up ahead of the line into a VIP line, that’s what happened to me.
-You might have to wait an hour looking at the stage before the show actually starts.
-Ok if you pay attention to anything pay attention to this step. TRY TO GET MERCH WHILE SHE IS PERFORMING OR CLOSE TO THE END. I realize you might be saying “Oh but I want to watch her whole performance.” I understand, I did just that as well, and ended up waiting in line for a hour to find out they didn’t have my shirt size, and the CDs they had…I had already purchased online.
-IF YOU HAVE VIP MEET/GREET MAKE SURE YOU FIND THE LINE FOR IT FIRST. I waited in the merch line because I didn’t want to miss out on getting something really cool. While I was standing in line I asked security, “Hey where is the meet and greet line anyway?” He pointed to the opposite direction of the room and said, “You might want to hurry up man!” I literally ran, got my ticket checked and made it just in time to meet Kyary. I was the last person to meet her and she left AS SOON AS OUR PICTURE WAS TAKEN.
-All in all at the beginning it’s a lot of waiting, the concert is a lot of fun, and the end is a lot of hurrying.

AEG LIVE PRESENTS KYARY PAMYU PAMYU BEST BUY THEATER NO CAMERAS / NO RECORDERS 1515 BROADWAY, NYC / 16+
It seems as if the 2 Limited Edition versions will come with a bonus according to the CDJ descriptions, although nothing has been announced yet. (This part is also missing in the Regular Edition version’s description.)
Because of you/your blog, I was able to find out that the Nanda Collection World Tour was 3 hours away from my house. Thankfully I get to watch her perform tomorrow, so thank you very much (◕‿◕✿) ありがとうございます！
Can you please tag KPP concert tickets sales posts with an additional tag like #KPPticketsUSA, so others can tumblr savior it? It's really annoying to see them in my dash when they're irrelevant to me. It would be really helpful. Thank you
I think “ticket” alone is uncommon enough of a word to put into Tumblr Savior, so maybe try that? You could also block my “kpp world tour 2014” tag.
Kyary to release new single "Family Party", provide movie theme song for "Crayon Shin-chan"
Kyary has just announced a new song and single titled “Family Party”, which will be used as the theme song for the movie "Crayon Shin-chan: Gachinko! Gyakushuu no Robo To-chan"!
"Family Party" is the title track of Kyary’s 9th single, which will be released in 3 different editions on April 16th: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and a regular edition. No details yet on the track list and other information about the 2 Limited Edition versions.
This song will be Kyary’s second tie-up with “Crayon Shin-chan” (the first being "Kimi ni 100 Percent") and her first time ever providing a theme song for a movie. According to the article, “Family Party” is a poppy, warm, and sentimental song about ‘the bonds between family’ and is said to have a very ‘robot’-sounding arrangement.
"I’m extremely glad that I’m once again providing a theme song for Crayon Shin-chan, which I love so much! The theme of the song is ‘family’. It’s a song that everyone in the family - from the little kids to mom and dad - can enjoy together. I also feel that by singing this song, you’ll be able to express feelings that are normally hard to put into words to each other! It’s such a wonderful and heartwarming song. I hope a lot of people listen to it!"
For the merch it depends how early you get there, you can try to get in line right away. Or you can use the Sidestep app (if theres still anything on there) to reserve some stuff. Earlier the better, or go mid show. I went about half way through to buy some stuff I had second guessed (CD and keychain) and they were gone. By end of show it was basically the white shirt, hoodie, and maybe posters for LA.
By the way, I checked the Sidestep app and the only merchandise available through the app now are the white T-shirt, the hoodie, and the towel.
“My agency (ASOBI SYSTEM) usually brings me very big gigs without much warning after they’re confirmed. They’ll tell me something like “we’re going to San Francisco tomorrow” or “we’re going on a world tour starting the day after tomorrow.” It feels like everything they bring up is something that I’ve never done before; like coming here to San Francisco today. I get worried because sometimes I have no idea what kind of people will show or how many. But it certainly gives me more confidence every time I go through such challenges.”—Kyary Pamyu Pamyu interview with geekexchange at JPOP Summit Festival (via kyarypapa)
