Scrapbook or published book? (50 replies needed)

I think I’m going to go ahead and go through with the fan book! I just have a quick question for all of you: would you like it to be a handmade scrapbook, or an actual published book?

The reason I’m asking is because I’m going to be leaving for Japan at the beginning of September, so I need to know which one you guys would like because it changes the time frame I have to accept submissions, etc and what we will need to do it. I also would like to know whether or not there are enough people would like to submit something to the fan book.

Handmade scrapbook

• Pros: more personal, no maximum/minimum on submissions accepted, very customizable
• Cons: takes a lot of time/effort to put together, need craft supplies, due date for submissions at end of August, only one will be made

Published book

• Pros: due date for submissions in early October, copies/e-book can be made available, less elbow grease on my part lol
• Cons: need lots of help with graphic design and putting together the PDF, need a minimum number of submissions, may be expensive

This may change how much you need to donate to have your picture/letter included, so PLEASE let me know if you have a preference! At the moment I’m only going to ask for a $0.50 USD donation per submission, but it may change depending on how many supplies I will need, how much it costs to publish the book, and how many people are interested in submitting something.

Once I get about 50 replies to this, I’ll put up a post about how to submit something for the fan book. In the meantime, please stop sending me messages asking about this. Questions about submissions will be deleted.
